RECRUITING SKATING AND NON SKATING OFFICIALS IN 2023
Interested in being involved with roller derby, but not sure you want to strap skates on your feet and compete? Try officiating! No experience or prior knowledge of the game is necessary! Must be 18 or older to join.
Skating officials, or referees, learn to skate alongside our new recruits in the twice-yearly Fundamentals classes. All new officials go through set of minimum skills assessments aimed at skating skills without any contact. Non skating officials are trained to learn a variety of positions such as Jam Timer, Penalty Tracker, Scoreboard Operator, Scorekeeping, Penalty Box Timer, and Lineup Tracker.
If you would like to learn more, please feel free to contact with any questions!
